Scenic Project
The scenic project was where I was tasked with building a creature out of different sizes of wood (2x4, 1x4, 4x4, 2x6, and a 1' x 1' piece of plywood). I also had to use different types of cutting machinery so I could be introduced to all the tools and woods in my school's scenic shop.
My first ever creature was "Robert the Space Explorer / Planet Destroyer," Robert was created by two 4x4 pieces for his legs, A 2x6 right arm holding a 2x4 sword. He also has a dislocated left arm shown by a 4x4 piece of wood. He also has shoulder pads created using two 2x4's. Lastly his aforementioned plywood body and circular face.

I learned many things while working on this project; the most important being, I had to learn to go with the flow and change my design as I started to actually work on it. Although the finished creature looks like my first design, there were many changes that had to be made on the fly. I learned that things will not work out the way you intended in the first place, but it doesn't mean that I've failed, in fact I think I like the finished project more than my original design.
